Assessment of Agro-Ecological Apple Replant Disease (ARD) Management Strategies: Organic Fertilisation and Inoculation with Mycorrhizal Fungi and Bacteria

چکیده

Apple replant disease (ARD) impacts the economic yield of orchards by physiological and morphological suppression apple trees on replanted soils. The complexity caused a plethora biological interactions physical properties soil requires complex management strategies to mitigate these effects. Based expert recommendations, we selected two linked agroecological principles (a) organic fertilisation with specific mulch composition (MDK) (b) biofertilisation arbuscular mycorrhizal bacterial strains (AMFbac), applied existing products. For both provide proof-of-concept, pot field experiments. Both treatments have potential ARD effects plant vigour. effect was fully mitigated MDK treatment in short-term (one year) up 29% after seven years (long-term). provides an additional substrate for root growth. AMFbac has vigour but non-replicable plant-beneficial its current form application. Thereby our results show principal not overcome inducing While is found resource intensive reliable, more user-friendly.

Effects of Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi on Growth and Nutrient Uptake of Apple Rootstocks in Calcareous Soil

The effects of three Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi (AMF) species (Glomus versiforme, Claroideoglomus etunicatum and Rhizophagus intraradices) were studied on the growth parameters and nutrient uptake of three apple rootstocks (M.9, M.7 and MM.106). The soil medium contained a high level of calcium carbonate (38.65%). The results showed that AMF inoculation could increase almost all growth parame...

effects of water stress and inoculation with mycorrhizal fungi and symbiotic bacteria on vegetative indices of chickpea (cicer arietinum l.)

drought, high and low tempratures are the most important abiotic stresses in chickpea cultivation. improving plant root characteristics (root length and root volume) is one of the ways to increase drought tolerance in chickpea. mycorrhizal symbiosis increases drought resistance of host plants through different mechanisms. to study the effects of water stress and mycorrhizal fungi inoculation on...

Effects of Inoculation with Mycorrhizal Fungi on Growth and Heavy Metals Concentrations in Two Wheat Cultivars under Salt Stress Condition

The soil salinity and the diffusion of potentially toxic chemicals to the soil environment through industrial and agricultural activities are known as important factors affecting the productivity of crop plants. Thus, an efficient strategy to increase crop yield, and to improve human and environmental health, is necessary to mitigate the impacts of these detrimental factors. Accordingly, a fact...

Response of micropropagated potatoes transplanted to peat media to post-vitro inoculation with arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi and soil bacteria

Positive effects of dual inoculation with some combinations of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) and bacteria on the growth of micropropagated potato (Solanum tuberosum) transplanted to a peat-based substrate were found in three different cultivation systems — pots, greenhouse or shadowhouse beds. Some inoculation treatments, e.g. with Glomus etunicatum, Glomus fistulosum together with bacteri...
